About T1D

Is Type 1 Diabetes caused by lifestyle?

No. Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune condition where the pancreas stops producing insulin. It is not caused by diet, exercise or obesity, it is not preventable, and it has no cure. The only treatment is lifelong insulin.

Can my child attend school normally?

Yes. Children with Type 1 Diabetes can and should attend school like any other child. We conduct awareness sessions for schools and can support you if your child faces difficulty with admission or care during school hours.

Membership

Who can become a member of Sweet Souls Society?

Anyone living with Type 1 Diabetes, and the parents, guardians and caregivers of a person with T1D, can register. Membership is completely free. Supporters and volunteers are also welcome to register.

Is there a membership fee?

No. Membership is free. Every registration is reviewed by our team before your membership card is issued.

How long does approval take?

Our volunteers review new registrations manually, usually within two to three working days. You will receive an email as soon as your membership is approved.

What do I get as a member?

A digital membership card, invitations to our weekly virtual support circles and monthly in-person meetups, priority registration for camps and workshops, access to the member resource library, and a direct line to our support team for help with supplies, counselling and school inclusion.

Partnership

How can a company partner with Sweet Souls Society?

Companies can support us through CSR contributions towards insulin and supplies, education programmes, awareness drives, and advocacy. Send us an enquiry through the CSR page and our team will share a detailed proposal.

Support

Does Sweet Souls Society provide insulin or supplies directly?

We work with hospitals, government programmes and corporate donors to help families access insulin, glucometers and essential supplies. Raise a support request through your member dashboard and our team will guide you on what is available in your district.

Still stuck?

Send us a message and one of our volunteers will get back to you. If it is urgent, call our President or Founder directly — the numbers are in the footer of every page.
