About these terms
This website is run by Sweet Souls Society for Type 1 Diabetes, a registered non-profit society. By using the site or registering as a member, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
Membership
- Membership is free. We will never charge you for it.
- Every registration is reviewed by a volunteer before it is approved. We may decline a registration, and we do not have to explain why.
- Please give accurate information. Health guidance based on wrong details could be actively harmful to you.
- Your account is yours. Do not share your password, and tell us if you think someone else has access to it.
- You can close your account whenever you like by emailing us.
How to behave in our community
Our support circles and events exist so that frightened people can speak honestly. That only works if everyone behaves decently. When taking part, you agree not to:
- Share anything another member said in a support circle outside that circle.
- Promote cures, reversal protocols, alternative treatments or products that claim to replace insulin. This is the one thing we will remove someone for without discussion, because it kills people.
- Sell, advertise or recruit for anything.
- Harass, abuse, shame or discriminate against anyone.
- Collect other members' contact details or use them for any purpose of your own.
We may suspend or remove any account that breaks these rules.
Events
- Registering for an event does not guarantee a place if capacity is reached, and we will tell you if it is.
- We may change or cancel an event. We will let registered attendees know as soon as we can.
- Photographs are often taken at our events. Tell the organisers on the day if you would rather not appear, and we will respect that.
- You are responsible for your own health and safety at physical events, and for supervising your own children.
Donations
Donations are voluntary and are generally non-refundable. If you donate in error, contact us and we will try to sort it out. Where tax exemption applies, receipts are issued in line with the certification we hold at the time.
Our content
The text, design, logo and material on this site belong to Sweet Souls Society for Type 1 Diabetes unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to share and print our educational material for personal, school, clinical or awareness use, with credit. Please do not sell it or present it as your own.
Clinical tables reproduced here are drawn from Government of India programme documents and are shared for advocacy and education.
Links to other sites
We sometimes link to hospitals, government pages and other organisations. We are not responsible for what is on those sites.
Limits
We provide this site and our community support in good faith, as volunteers, and without any warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the site or from decisions you take based on information found here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Telangana have jurisdiction over any dispute.
